Status: offline 		i forgot to put stickers on the windows when i painted, and now my whole body is candy red, pretty much screwed right? unless for some reason i like red windows....selling m5 body with red windows and windshield.......

Status: offline 		Just use some brakefluid to strip the paint off the body
and re-paint it. Don't forget to mask the windows next
time.

As I've said many times - paint enough, or few enough, bodies and you're bound to screw some up along the way. It's part of the territory. Ya gotta screw it up once to know not to do it (whatever it was) again.



Ya it will!

People keep saying it doesnt but ive tried it and it wrecked the body. It was very foggy and would tear VERY easily.

Status: offline 		just cut through the overspray mask (just like aregular mask) And spray them black from the outside.... i HAVE FOUND OUTSIDE PAINT SCRATCHES EASILY (DUH) but if you shoot it with some clearcoat (gloss or matte) that it holds up really well. My entire hood section is flat black because my flame masks pulled up a bunch of paint. The roof is wasted from flipping but somehow that black is holding up .

Status: offline 		I have stripped many lexan bodies with brakefluid and never
had a problem with it. You should never use anything rougher
than a soft rag to wipe the lifted paint off. You may need to repeat
the process more than once to get all the paint off. I never had a
body fog up or get brittle. But then again I was stripping water based
paint. I have never had to strip a body that has been painted with solvent
based paints. So I have no idea what effect laquers have on the lexan.
What works for me may not work for you.

Status: offline 		i masked outide of car and painted black, looks great and can barely tell its painted outside, although i wish i used white finish coat instead of black for a candy red color, it made it look brown...
