Does anyone set there pitch with the DX6i in thro hold. If you have your pitch curves the same in norm and hold I would think this would work.

I have the throttle hold pitch curve set the same as idle up, and yes, I'll sometimes use throttle hold to set my blade pitches instead of disconnecting the motor. But disconnecting the motor is the safest way to go.

Yup, I do it all the time.
But if you make a mistake or the cat jumps on the TX you will have big problems.
I like to push the envelope and live on the edge.

I do change the Hold pitch curve to 0-25-50-75-100 for adjustments and readings.
Even though I don't use all the negative pitch yet, I like to know the heli is setup the way it's supposed to be in Idle up, -10/0/+10.
