STRAIGHT SHOT -> GST AGAINST MGT 8.0 (5/11/2008 4:34:15 PM) Ok has any one raced the GST 7.7 up against the new MGT 8.8 as of yet , and what was or would be the outcome. I had just purchased my GST afew weeks ago and it runs great, but still trying to figure out the control settings . My neighbor just bought the MGT 8.0 and still has to break in the engine. When time comes I'm sure we will go head to head, but was just currious if someone else has had a chance to do so.

Mr Terminator -> RE: GST AGAINST MGT 8.0 (5/17/2008 3:35:55 AM) I raced the similar TTR Sledgehammer S50 which is the same truck and it was slightly faster than my Genesis,they're nowhere near as heavy as the Genesis/GST and my engine is the older model but it was close and it was only on top speed,off the line they were neck and neck and my Genesis had a slight lead midway then ran out of legs and the S50 carried on,I think my truck may not have shifted into 3rd at the right time as it was over a set distance.The Genesis/GST is a much tougher truck though and still looks better,the S50/MGT 8.0 still has them crappy fake piggy back shocks too.When you go head to head with your neighbor,make sure you win and get one back for us CEN owners,if not ram him and the MGT will crumble under the superior weight and strength of the big CEN,they are'nt as big as the Genesis GST either...[:)]

Its fun that we have another big truck to compete against- Just to let you bashers know CEN has dominated Associated at several of the last few ROAR Nationals!!!! Last year 2nd place (no assoc. in A Main) Last year 5th with our prototype gsr (no assoc. in A Main)
