Hello, i bought an old Jeep airplane- i think it was kited from Coverite, the only thing it looks very fast so i'm a little worried, i hope someone can tell me if this plane was a good flyer for the average pilot it looks very good and i don't want surprizes, thanks for any help.....

This particular one is not as fast as written up on face of box. 'least wasn't around here.

I would ask same question over at the Pylon racer's forum.

Only thing there is they tend to think of over-powering it with some late model glow engine.

Thanks for the reply, i can't find much info on the plane, this one has a super tigre 45 on it, i guess i wanted to find out if it had any bad habits, sounds like you seen them fly, did they fly good, thanks...

Well, used to see the boxes hanging off store racks for long time, for I think they were available in to teh late 1980's. Apparently the TRUE racers stayed away from them. They were fast in name only. Out there on the course, they did not live up to their namesake. Thus when one fellow came in a bought one, word got around, and no one else bought one afterwards. I got one on sale and mounted up some (well used) K&B .40 in it.

The model is a sport airplane, not a pylon racer.
