Just for fun, I am trying to find nitro planes that are under the 40 class that would use a a .25 or smaller nitro engine.

Thank you for your help.

Phoenix Sonic Low and High Wing. You can get both from Tower Hobbies.

Maybe one of the Hobby Hangar / Rich Uravich kits woud appeal:
http://www.hobbyhangar.com/test/kits.htm

Or, perhaps the Ace Simple Ultimate
http://www.acehobby.com/ace/ACE4252.htm

And, Eureka offers a .25 size Midget Mustang and a .25 size Cessna
http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/airplanes/planes.htm

Then there's the Sig Kobra, and the Great Planes .20 size Taylorcraft, and a couple of .25 size House of Balsa offerings.

Good luck,
Dave Olson

That is perfect! Love the Bud clip too. I remember those commercials, they were hilarious!

I looked up that plane here: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZS57 and it says engine size .049 to .061 cu. in is recommended.... Is the .10 LA really good enough?

It's a pretty quick and easy build... You can navagate to the 1/2A and 1/8A forum and do a search for "Herr Cloud Ranger" and find some info reguarding the buld and modifications I did. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Also a user by the ID of Digital Trucker has built one as well and more recently. I think you will enjoy the build. Perhaps you could do a nice detailed build thread on it...

Is the OS .10 LA good enough?... You saw the video right... Remember .10 is bigger than .061 and .074...

HobbyPeople has several. P 51 Mustang, M109, and an Extra. I have their old T6 model, they no longer sell it but you might find it in a hobby store somewhere

That Herr Cub Ranger is just what I am looking for.

I think that it will be my first build plane.

Hi guys. One of my favorite planes back home (currently in Japan serving in the Navy) was a kit I found on Ebay for 30 bucks called a Hyper Bee from Aspect Aviation. I put a cheap Magnum 15 (I know magnums usually are a pain but the 15 screams! and its cheap) that I got at a swap meet for 40 bucks and one of my old Hitec three channel single stick AM radios. All I can say is WOW, this little thing is a hoot to fly. Simple Aileron, Elevator, and throttle set up. I think after some covering, fuel tank, etc I only had about 110-120 bucks in the plane and it has 119 flights on it. With a two ounce tank you get about 6-7 min flight time so when I'm at about 5 I just keep her two mistakes high until the engine quits and she floats down nice and soft. The build was super easy. Very, very basic kit. The kit goes for 49.95 on at www.aspectaviation.com If you are looking for a plane that will fit in the back of any car and can be flown at a field no bigger than a football field then you are in luck. Plus its cheap to build and fly with that two ounce tank. I LOVE THIS LITTLE BIRD!!! Take care and God Bless guys.

Very Respectfully, Petty Officer Jonathan P. Green USN

A beautiful plane is the WM Zen 30. It'll do great with a 25 and it's really very pretty. Single piece wing makes assembly a snap!
