Hey Nick,

Just got done talking to the guy I got the Blade 400 spare from, and I'm getting a new motor and ESC for an extra $50....can't beat that with a stick! I don't need them now, but I'm sure at the rate I'm going, I'm gonna need them sooner or later!

Not bad, an ARF B400 for $169...I have no use for the stinkin' Eflite servos anyways...my only bad words for the Blade 400 !!

Glenn,

Guess what happened today. I crashed the Belt CP again. The neigbors dog got loose in my yard while I was flying and I didn't know how it was going to act since it bit me when I was little and my blades cut thru my vinyl siding like butter. And all the parts I need are sold out. I was thinking if I could justify using my college fund to get another helicopter with parts that are always in stock. I don't think I will be able to do that. I need a spare kit like you got.

Nick

Hey Nick,

BUMMER! That sucks so bad, Nick! So, not only the heli is wrecked, but the siding on the house too? Ouch! Those blades can do some serious damage...my leg still hurts!

Yea, the "spare heli" idea is hard to beat, for sure. Now I have to resist the temptation to get servos and a receiver...and have a second, working B400 !! (Glenn tells self "you don't need TWO flying B400's "!!)

I don't know, we'll have to see...but I won't be getting it until next week, my Paypal account was all screwed up, so there is a big delay, plus he is out on the west coast, so I won't see it this week...bummer.

I am so sorry to hear that you had another crash, I hope it was not as bad as the last one? How many parts do you think you'll need?

It's not much better for a few guys out there looking for B400 feathering shafts...no one has any !! I'm so glad I secured the ones I did when I did...

Keep in touch, and updated on the repairs...

Glenn,

I will take a picture of the siding tomorrow. If I was using wooden blades they would probably just break, but I was using carbons and they are much stronger. I think I have all the parts I need, but it chewed up my dampners so I don't want to buy a $2 part and end up paying $10 in shipping. I bent the flybar, spindle, the tips of the main gear and chips out of the carbon blades, I also stripped the servo gears. I am glad both of those crashes never hit me. It has got to be hard almost having another helicopter so close to being flight ready and not be able to fly it. These helicopters are a lot of fun, but these crashes keep me in check how dangerous they can be when things go wrong. These metal parts are sure holding up in the crashes. I am suprised I haven't bent a main shaft or tail shaft yet. Have fun flying and be safe.

Spindles, mainshaft, flybar, a tail motor, and the pins that go through the main shaft and head assembly.

The Blade CP and CP Pro's training gear are the same. Make sure you get the CP training gear instead of the CX gear. They are identical except for the mounting on the landing struts.

Your welcome. A pitch gauge is well worth the investment. Most are adjustable for almost any size blade so it will work on any helicopter you would want in the future. Here is a link to those pins. They always sheared off in a crash.

The ones on top are called flybar paddles. http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1150
The ones on the tail are called tail blades. http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1122

I never broke them so I don't think you will need to worry about replacing them in a crash. Have fun with the new helicopter and if you have any questions everyone will do their best to help out.
