DonnyNitro -> RC Tools (5/12/2008 2:31:14 AM)

Just thought we should start a post on what the fundamental tools are you should have in you RC toolbox. I do have a question...anyone know where you can get wrenches smaller that 5-6mm??

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: RC Tools (5/12/2008 2:39:19 AM)

I mean really small crescent wrenches....2-5 mm.

need2drag -> RE: RC Tools (5/12/2008 2:48:41 AM)

Lets see, I would have to say good allen wrenches....many sizes...lol, flat head and phillips head screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, and of course locktight. he he he

Lawdawg203 -> RE: RC Tools (5/12/2008 5:44:51 AM)

Super glue and duct tape (could keep you running for a while longer).....

ranger4x4 -> RE: RC Tools (5/12/2008 7:04:29 AM)

don try looking at craftsman precision tools or snap on tools or mac tools. but you never know you should try canadian tire too they might have some too.
the edit is to add my box contents lol. a large 4 way and small 4way. good ball end allen wrenches, flat and phillips mastercraft precision screwdrivers, fuel line, glow plugs, plenty of extra parts, needle nose pliers afo, and arr. and wd-40. and plenty of new batteries.

Get ignition wrenches, both SAE and Metric. They do the trick. [:)]

bkfamily1 -> RE: RC Tools (5/12/2008 9:51:09 PM)

try this for little wrenches - this set goes down to 4mm - they have some other stuff as well including wrenches down to 5/64" and nut drivers down to 3/32" and 2mm.

Thought I would Post a Pic of my most Commonly Used Tools.....
Except for the Red handled Snap-On Mini Expandable Pliers, everything is fairly inexpensive....
I use other tools, but These are my Primary friends...

rclynx -> RE: RC Tools (5/13/2008 12:58:34 PM)

Yeah....all Metric....
Everything I have worked on so far (Himoto, Losi, Redcat) has been Metric.

Sigh.....except for that OLD Associated RC10, that my Buddy got from some Chick at a Garage Sale....lol.

rclynx.....
Considering all the Solid Objects ( Walls, cough, Curbs, sigh....) I encounter, I Kinda,Sorta dont Need a BFH. [:D]
