I have a Falcon and was wondering what their actual thrust is. I note some websites quote 22 pounds and others quote 23 pounds thrust??? All of the other Artes range turbines have constant thrust ratings. Mine is serial number 145!

Mav,
Brett and I did our standard pre-delivery run up of a customers falcon yesterday, and it was reading 22+ pounds on our test bed.
I would say the 22lb rating is spot on, however do not be surprised if it puts out a little more than that.

Regards,
Rob

Cool, also it states max rpm 122k on some sites, but the manual states max 126k? What should the max rpm be set at for max thrust? I note I have programmed mine at 126k rpm per manual and sometimes it goes to 128k rpm if you slam stick it? Is that safe?

rorock, have you ever ran a superbee and measured the thrust? Just wondering.

Noahb,
The day before the falcon we did a run up on a SuperBee and got 13.8lb on it.. And acceleration that just blew our minds..

Rob

Hey Noahb,

Yes, as Rob has stated, I ran the "SuperBee" a few days ago and was astounded at the acceleration rate and static thrust from such a small engine, I thought my thrust gage was incorrect and had it calibrated again, only to find it was correct to start with..!! The "SuperBee" is indeed a fine engine with exceptional performance.

Steve (Mav),
The Falcon is also a fine engine, although I don't need to tell the owners of them this. As with the SuperBee, the Falcon also has exceptional acceleration and performance. I test them at very close to sea level with good, cool, dense air so the quoted static thrust figures are pretty much spot on. Rob and I at AusJets.com are able to give first hand experience of how good the Jet-Central engines and service is, at this stage....second to none!!

Cheers,
Smithy.

I have two of the super bees, and the acceleration is very good.

In the air however, it's a lot faster.
