You can also go by Radio shack or someplace and get a lighter socket with alligator clips and hook it directly to a 12V battery. If they don't have something like this on the shelf, just buy the pieces and make it. It's odd that your lighter socket on your car needs to have the key on. My Silverado has both a lighter and auxiliary port. Both stay powered up, even with the key off. My old truck was the same way. Also, you;re charging Lipo battery you want a good quality charger that knows when to shut off. The included Parkzone charger is actually pretty good for something that comes in an RTF package. If you want an AC/DC charger, look at the Accucycle Elite from Hobbico or something like that.
