hey all!!
I just got me one of these planes. I been looking forward to this for a while. I been wanting one ever since I saw how easy the up keep was on others electric planes. I figured the brand was a good no nonsense brand and got me the striker "B" model.
So when I took it out and looked over the "kit" I found that I only had a car charger and no wall charger. grumbling I looked through the sales flyer (they sent me one, how nice! they must think im rich!) and not one mention of a wall charger. they are kidding right?? it says in the instructions that the batteries will take 40 min. to charge. im not gona sit in me car, idling, for 40 min.!!

So whats the fix fellas?? this is a great little plane when the batteries are charged so I don't want to just retire it out of disgust. HELP!! Please

Your car doesn't have to be running to charge the battery, i've charged my stryker packs at least 10 times in a row without starting my car, you can also get a 110v-12v power supply or a charger that will use 110v

the keys must be in the ignition and it turned to "on" for it to be chargeing. I don't have the time to sit around and wait like that, it would have been far better if they had supplied a good stout wall charger. leave it over night on the charger and by morning its all juiced up and ready to go.
plain and simple instead they give me a car charger and expect me to wait 40 min. for it to get to full charge. its stupidity. i deff. would want to get rid of this thing.

Most cars cigarette lighter or aux power jacks work without the key in, what do you drive ??? As for an overnight wall charger, the stock pack lasts about 6 min in the air with the stock brushed setup, i sure wouldn't want to wait overnight to fly again. I also have one of these when i'm away from my car http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672502&bmUID=1210814523654&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524443271700&assortment=primary&fromSearch=true

I use it for my chargers with the cigarette end and also with my quick field charger for my glow planes.

You can also go by Radio shack or someplace and get a lighter socket with alligator clips and hook it directly to a 12V battery. If they don't have something like this on the shelf, just buy the pieces and make it.

It's odd that your lighter socket on your car needs to have the key on. My Silverado has both a lighter and auxiliary port. Both stay powered up, even with the key off. My old truck was the same way.

Also, you;re charging Lipo battery you want a good quality charger that knows when to shut off. The included Parkzone charger is actually pretty good for something that comes in an RTF package. If you want an AC/DC charger, look at the Accucycle Elite from Hobbico or something like that.

it takes 2 seconds to drive to the field. no body has the time to sit there with there car on for 40 frikin minutes. I can't believe I fell for this pile of crap. If any one wants it drop me a line, I still have the box and every thing is in good condition.
