Im trying to find a feathering shaft for a b400. Everyone is out of stock. Red Rocket said they had them, but I think they dropship, so I would be surprised. Does anyone know where they might be in stock. All 3 my LFS's are out as well.

Hey Casey,

I think I grabbed the last ones in the country last weekend! And then I promply crashed! I found some at a little hobby shop called "Hidden Hanger"...just google it...but I think he only had 2 sets left last Sunday, I have no idea if he has any left at all.

They are very, very scarce, for sure!

Good luck, I hope you can locate some!

Someone said they are on backorder from Horizon until June 8th?

I am not certain about that, but that's what I heard.

All of my LHS are out, and there are none to be found on eBay, either.

Glenn

Horizon Hobby is the distributor, they say they are backordered. So my guess is if they are out nobody has them.I bent mine and also need a feathering shaft.I have one backordered at Horizon my guess they will be the first to have them.I love the blade 400,put about 20 flights on mine and got it out a little to far ,got pushed a little to far down wind hard to see and hit the dirt. Tough little sob.I thought I was going to be picking up pieces.I was saprised to see very little damage.Bent main shaft, blades and feathering shaft.Tempted to buy another one for spare and extra battery.

The v1 feathering shafts will work with an extra o-ring they are a bit to long. The V2 shafts are to big around and will not work.

I picked up 2 of the 3 packages of feathering shafts a smaller lesser known LHS had today, good thing too, I just had a major crash and the LHS I usually go to was out of stock/backordered.

Horizon Hobbies should be ashamed. This is a critical, often replaced part for a very popular helicopter. How can they sell these things if they can't keep a simple part like feathering shafts in stock. They have been out of stock since the middle of April at least. They could have gone to a local machine shop and had some produced by now.

Shame!

I got the run around, we didn't anticipate the extreme demand the factory cant keep up...yada yada yada.

Im kindof upset at my purchase at this point. But what are you going to do.

I bought seesaw holder set and the stupid on it got, someone forgot to tap the holes for the screws, so I put them in and it just spins, never tightens. Im disappointed with Horizon.

Also, I call and asked which direction a washer goes and they told me wrong according to everyone else.

I’m using the trex 450 v1 feathering shaft. Use the spacers that come with it and only one blade shim and they work great. Even clopped the neighbor’s tree and did not damage the shaft. Prior encounters with that ill placed piece of foliage have been more destructive.

Is that like one of those trees that just jumps out and grabs your heli !?? LOL

Great wording, nice sense of humor !

Having the same issue here. Bad wreck last weekend. B400 has ben down all week, out of 3 LHS here, no one has any Feathering shafts. No luck online either. I tried the 450 V1 shafts, I could not get them to work right. If someone has detailed info on how to make them work please post it, I have acess to plenty of them.

Hi.
Was doing a search for feather shafts in the UK to stock up before the UK has a possible shortage and found this site.

http://www.rchover.com/inc/sdetail/106467

As I post this they have 18 in stock.
Will edit post if I find more.
