Well I've had this neat little chopper for all of 4 days now and I've already ruined it. I exceeded the performance envelope while flying outside in dead calm...the blades kissed whilst stopping/turning to avoid a tree and the heli came in nose-first then skittered down the street even though the throttle was down while I chased it nervously laughing in case the neighbors were watching, a really spectacular crash, really. This particular model is the updated version that ships with an aluminum top rotor head and a "3-in-1" unit and a "ar6100e" receiver. When I connect the litho, the 3in1 alternately blinks red and green continuously. Never locks on. I have tried binding and binding and binding but it never binds. The crash damage included a totaled canopy, and the ar6100e rx has a *slightly* dented corner. I pried the rx apart and inspected the internals, no visible damage. I really don't want to shell out $50 for a new rx on a $180 heli when I obviously need a good CP heli to challenge me instead of a limpd*** coaxial that I have to push around the sky, but at the same time my kids get a HUGE kick out of watching me trying to hover through doorways inside. Also I only have about 6 packs of heli experience so far. Maybe if someone could walk me through diagnosis I would buy a new RX if I knew for sure that would fix it. Please someone help me out, I can't believe I just ruined $200 worth of ebay sales! I have crashed a lot of RC's in my time and I think I even have an old Kraft RX that still works!

Anyway, I need to know for sure the RX is bad before I buy one. What do you think? Thanks guys!

You said that you have tried to re-bind... Please describe how you are going about re-binding and what, if any indications you are seeing on the AR6100e Rx.

I know it sounds silly and you have probably already done this but the 3-1 will not arm unless all the throttles are down. You have to make sure that not only the throttle stick is at 0 but the throttle trim must also be all the way down. The way you describe the skittering down the street with the throttle cut makes me think that your throttle trim is not at 0. Just a thought.

UTM that was my first thought also, throttle up somewhere, reversed etc.

Rebind, if it works great, if not I'd say take it to lhs and ask them to borrow a rx for a sec. Mine would do this for me, not sure if they would at yours.

The throt stick and trim are at zero.
When I attempt bind, I have the bind plug in the batt port on the Rx, the throt plug plugged in, and the motors unplugged from the 3in1. When I connect the litho, the orange LED on the RX rapidly blinks. The TX automatically enters bind mode for a brief second after being powered on as indicated by a rapidly flashing LED on the TX face. The TX LED then goes solid indicating that it is out of bind mode, and the RX LED continues to rapidly blink, indicating that it has not bound. A bound RX as I understand would go solid on.
