Hi, what would be the best RC simulator to practice 3-D on, it is hard for me to get to the flying field more than twice a week and I was thinking one of these could help me?
Thanks Tom

I have Aeroflight Pro and Pro Deluxe. Both are great for 3d practice. The GP G4 is good too. None are just like actual planes but are close enough and very good for making stick movements automatic reflex actions.

A simulator was the single best 200 I could of ever spent trying to learn to fly. Being able to get stick time in every single day will work miracles when your trying to learn muscle memory and plane orientation. Like jack said things will become reflex and you wont have to think about it anymore. After that happens flying is easy. I have noticed when hovering not only do I not need to think about how to react anymore I am reacting much sooner because I have learned when things are going to go wrong before they actualy do so the corrections needed are much less.

I run G4 and am very happy with it.

I also have the GP probably get in 8 hrs. per week on the sim and a day at the field every other weekend they really make a difference for staying in practice especialy on a rainy day. The weather in the winter months is always good inside and you really need to stay in practice for 3D and other high alfa moves. I wonder how many gallons of fuel the top pilots burn in a week.

the neat thing about G4 is that in the hover instruction mode it lets you practice each stick input separately and then add the others one at a time. This breaks the hover learning experience down into a sep by step process that hopefully will speed up the process.

Add-ons are now free with G4. Check out this thread.
I have G3.5, which is completely amazing. I love it! I just wish I had G4. It's definitely not like the real thing, but I slowed down the physics speed and I tought myself to harrier roll and slow roll. That's my favorite thing. Now I'm doing them at full-speed and in real life.

G4 will help your muscle-memory. Great choice!
