Is it acceptable to tie the negitive leads from the wing servos all together? I would like to use a 9 pin C- plug in a Thermik Dream I am building. 4 signal wires, 4 positive wires and 1 ground wire. If this is not a good idea then I can go to a 15 pin plug.

Thanks in Advance,

Bill in Vegas

That's fine. The batt and ground should go to a bus on the Rx anyways. It's the same thing no matter where they are tied. You could run all 0V on one wire and all Batt from one wire if you wanted.

That being said, it'd be a good idea to check it with an ohm meter to make sure.

Also, if you are running four servos off the same ground (0V) or batt (4.8V / 6V) wire, depending on the servo size and load, you might consider running the next size larger, or the same size as the battery wire, from the 9-pin plug to your Rx. Maybe that's a little too cautious, but you decide.

Thank you for responding. I will be using a LIPO 4200 battery with 60a Phoenix ESC with an additional BEC for the extra servos. I do have some heavier servo wire in bulk I was planning on using from the pin to the RX. I thought of putting an extra battery for the servos and turning off the BEC, not sure if the extra weight would be worth it or not.

I would run two grounds and two positives to lessen the voltage drop across the connector, and add redundancy.
