anybody have any idea of a good model for this engine?

I would suggest two particularly suitable models, both flown at the French Record Days in 1945.
- First is "Demon" by Marcel Chabot
It is a pylon model of 71 in. span, the original weighed 48 oz., and I have attached photographs of the (bad) copy of the plans I have.
This one was fitted with the upright version of the "Micron 5 cm3" engine.
- Second is my favorite, "Bossu" by Pierre Vaysse, which held the world altitude record (1810 m. = 5938 ft.).
It was bigger (span = 82.7 in.) and lighter (46 oz.). it was fitted with the inverted version of the Micron 5.
The photographs are of a set of plans I drew when I was fortunate enough to have been lent the original model.
The (nick)name "Bossu" - meaning "Humpback" - came about because P.Vaysse had fitted an extra tank above the wing for the altitude record attempt.

For your information, the Micron intake was supposed to be pointing down on both the upright and inverted versions.
Thus the upright version has the intake opposite the cylinder (I have attached a photograph of my own inverted Micron 5).

Hope this helps in your choice.
