overnout -> Delta Mixing Question (5/12/2008 8:16:59 PM)

Scenario: A delta with 25 mm of travel on Elevators and 15mm of travel on Aileron.

With Delta programming, if I give full up Elevator and full aileron, one side goes to the neutral position and the other provides full elevator and aileron travel. Wouldn't this be considered a roll? My logic doesn't seem to fit here and I'm just wondering why.

I would expect that if I put full elevator and full aileron that I would get 25 mm up on one side and 25 mm plus 15mm on the other.

Can someone either point me to an article or explain how this works?

Thanks

dont forget that one aileron moves down 15mm. that means that when you give full elevator they are both at 25mm. When you give full roll in addition to full elevator. one goes to 40mm (25 +15mm) and the other goes down to 10mm.(25mm- 15mm)). If you dont have enough servo travel the aileron sometimes gets to its endpoint when full elevator and aileron is input at the same time.
good luck
Paul

Thanks Paul!! That makes sense. I'll check my servo travel.
