It looks like bobsairdocs is on vacation till next monday.I've sent him money for his stuff,but I'd like to know what I'm up against converting a ziroli P-51d to the c model.Any one got any pics of the differences in the wing or know where I can find or purchase the info.Thanks,Mike

Mike, differences are abound if you know where to look. Mostly the wing planform, slight differences in the nose for cooling vents and of course the humpback/razorback.

While some people the D models all had the dorsal fins on the stab, in fact the B/C's had them as well due to the well know issue of the horizontal stab getting ripped of when entering a snap spin. The feild was then told the stabilizer should had to be reinforced according to T.O. 01-60J-18 from April 8th of '44 and a dorsal fin should be installed. Kits were sent to overseas units allowing these upgrades to be completed.

Note that they had them after April 1944, according to the details of Merlin's post.
If you're modelling an aircraft that operated primarily before D-Day, you should consider this.

Then again, there is this famous photo that shows P-51Ds (both with and without fillet) operating
with a P-51B that does not have a fillet. And all planes have invasion stripes (post May 1944).

Carefully study the details of the actual plane (scheme) you intend to replicate. Cheers
