hello, new to rc flying. im not familiar with the specs of servos or even what they mean. question:
does anyone know of a less expensive alternative servo that is compar able to the JRPS537 ? i see servos in towerhobbies.com for $10 or so. the JRPS537 is about 25-30 bucks. will the cheaper be ok to use in the hangar 9 p-51 mustang pts arf ?

Check out the Hitec HS-475HB(about $16) and the Futaba s3004. Both good servos. I've used the HS-475HB for quite a while and no problems. I have some older Futaba 3001 and 3004 servos that are still going strong. Tower sells both.

for model safety i would not go for any servo that doesn,t come with a name brand, ie; j.r. futaba, hitech, gws, sanwa, spectrum. the cheap servos do look the part but you just don,t know what internal electronic parts they use, don,t risk your model by going to cheap.
