is this oil to much in a truggy thats running a .21? i ask because this is whats in mine now and my off the line speed isn't to great but once it gets going it flies. the motor is a mega .21. could it be that i just need a bottom end pipe? if so what would give me better low end? right now i'm running a dynamite high torq pipe. any suggestions would be great. exept to learn to type!

I think most folks run (around) 10k in the center diff. Except vnmsgt...he's a weirdo . He likes heavier fluid in the center. I run 7kFront/10kCenter/3kRear.

I dont think it's your high torque pipe tho, unless the engine just hates that pipe.

A low end pipe may help. but have you considered going down a tooth count on your clutch bell???

Actually the heavier weight you use in your center diff has a positive effect on acceleration. With that said, 30K may be a little excessive. I use 20K in the center and I like the drive I get out of corners. Take a look at this article, it's definitely informative regarding the use of Diff. oil as a tunning option.

Check out kyosho web site, lutz truggy set up, he runs 18-28-5 or somthing like that. Only time I use 30 is for a center diff in the revo. 10-20-5 in my truggy, going to try out the tcd gears and see what happens.

Thanks for the article strngdze. The article really helped.

Does anyone have a video how to change the differential oil?

I noticed you lived in Dubai. Why not meet up with Qaiz, a member of our forum, and ask him for some help?

Will do. We just met once at the track. It is the time which does not match.

30K is to light for a Revo..Should be running 500K in the center..Most truggys run 10K to 20K in the center..A high torque pipe is a bottom end pipe..The Mega is not a HP motor..could be you need a better motor..by the time you paid for a different pipe you could have at least $50+ for a better motor..
