The Triton JR is a cool little charger.. it gives you a display screen and tells you how much charge is going into your Batts.

If you can, try and get batts a little better then Venom... they tend to be overated and often loose charge quickly after a few charge cycles.

I use a Charger similiar to the Triton JR , the SJ Swallow Advance

Its got the exact same specs as the Triton JR and I love it... its been brilliant over the last 3 years and lets me know when my Batts are starting to roll off in performance...

Not a Heck of a lot of difference except the way it is Packaged...

The Triton JR Still Charges nimh/Nicd at 0.1amp to 5.amp and discharges them at a maximum of 1amp.. They will charge Lipo and Li-ion batts but wont balance them so caution is advised...

As far as Batts are concerned, is there anything you found wrong with the ones you have now??
If not, keep them...
The 4200's you have now should be good...

Overheats as in gets hot when Charging ??? Nearly all batts do that..

The Intellect 3000's on my Swalllow peak at around 3600mah or more the highest I have seen one peak at has been 4100mah.. there under rated cells meaning although they say 3000mah they can sometimes hold more then their rated charged..

They do require matenience and correct battery care to keep them alive and working well.. one of mine I got 50 Charges out of and the other I only got 10... so its a game of chance but the Intellect 3000mah do perform rather well and with a triton JR they will do well...
