The only place I know of that has hop-ups in stock is Hobbythek in Germany. It is not the cheapest place due to the shipping and the exchange rate, but they have great customer service and I usually get the stuff in less than a week. I did find that fgsupply.com now has some upgrades for the Titan/Hurricane C5. However, I don’t know if they have them in stock yet and their prices seem to be very high. For example, a complete set of suspension arms (rear lower, front lower and front upper) will cost you $456 plus shipping from fgsupply.com while the same set would cost around $310 from Hobbythek and that includes the shipping.

These parts are not the same, the parts on our site are from Smartech and hobbytek is selling parts that make and there is a difference on the finish. The price we have on the site id the recommended retail from the factory, So I would expect the rest of the dealers to be the same price. But we will be releasing our own upgrade parts. That will improve the Titan/Gas Devil/Hurricane C5 I will post pics later.

What your willing to pay for the item from the USA ???? We include taxes with your purchase too

you need to get some local shops to make them for all ya all in Aussy so you wont have to pay out of country taxes and shipping charges

Buying from the USA is somthing i do almost weekly. State sales tax is never included in my purchases and shipping works out at $25us for a small box (4day to australia). Parts prices are usually pretty fair and i have no issue (even the Euro price). In my case its about percieved value not dollar value. If i feel like i am getting ripped off i wont buy.

so what your saying is when you purchase from a US website they credit you 7-10% off your invoice??? Show me who does this I have some relitves that would like the discount from their order

Legally anyone who has a website in the USA... sells products nation wide and worldwide.... must charge a their state% of sales tax. Soon our government will have new laws governing internt sales and taxes.

Like Dell computers sell nation and world wide ......they charge sales tax to everyone.

I had a website still had to charge taxes it was included in the prices...there are more than just state sales tax.

Some taxes are not negotiable, i have no issue there. The state sales tax only applies to sales in state (so i am told) and are only added to orders purchased in state.
In the case of the Euro stuff the German VAT should not be applied to out of EU sales according to the German government website. Anyway thats not important to this thread, what i want is smartech to sell the option bits they have been showing for months and months. I would like to be able to buy the pieces i need to make my titan more reliable and robust from the dealers locally that try their hardest to support the hobby down here.

This statement is correct. State sales taxes are charged to items purchased & shipped in the same state. Out of state purchases are not charged the sales tax. This is how it is in Indiana anyway, I don't know about all the others. I also know state sales taxes vary in %'s as well.

Here is some info for those in aus..... One person i know has already paid for a shipment of alloy upgrade parts near 2 months ago.. Still no parts been sent there way to sell.

Another person has alloy parts listed on there site for sale, but I have heard (from more than one person) they have nothing in stock as well, just sitting back collecting money from people buying online without sending parts out.

The cost price for the alloy diff housing is around $45 aust ea. One website is selling them for $150 ea, talk about rip off mark up and they dont even have the parts in stock.

For 6 months now my T-n has been sitting broken in my shed, it hasent even had a one full tank run through it. Something has always broken on it or come loose. I'm over people telling me parts are on the way, next week they will be here, let me get in contact with s-th, etc, etc... just over $2000 wasted on something sitting around, damn even all the steal parts are starting to rust after being cleaned and covered in WD40.....

My thoughts are you can sve the t-n were the sun dont shine! Infact I wont waste another dollar on a new model s-th buggy what ever size it is unless stronger parts are on shelf with hobby shops, internet shops, etc.

S-th realy want to pull there fingers out if they want to stay in the 1/5 off road market. For those looking at buying a 4WD 1/5 T-t-n, D-v-l, T-dbt etc hold onto your money untill you know for sure upgrade parts are at your local shop for sale... Other wise you will have a wasted investment sitting around.

Cheers,
Rob.

Rob, i am starting to feel your frustration.
It doesnt bode well for any company to promote "vapourware". Those of us that jumped in early are learning how little regard the manufacturer has for the customers. At least by posting here potential customers can judge the sort of backup and support they will have and make up their own mind.

I have sent messages and emails to smartech to see about upgrades, no reply. I guess its all marketing and no substance.
