And, as for the original reason for this thread, I had heard that at the speed these planes are flying at, the calm water is pretty 'firm' under the wheels... maybe not as firm as a runway, but still would give a feel to the tires...

Not sure if it's an accurate statement or not, just passing it along.

I know this is not an "E" thread, but back last year when I first saw the water skiing Texans I got to wondering how well an Electric Clancy Lazy Bee on 3 3/4 or 4" Trexxlers could water ski. Saw a Super Cub in Alaska on Tundras do it several times. Do they still make Trexxs?
