Help me!


I'm losing my marbles [sm=bananahead.gif]whilst trying to locate parts/part numbers for a Picco P3 .26 Monster. I have looked everywhere and this engine doen't exist, except I have one!

Can anyone tell me where to find out the bearing sizes for this block, it has the age old Picco bearing air leak, a simple fix if only you can find info on the engine.

Have these engines been completey discontnued?

Apparently Picco, Ofna and Wasp all had versions of the .26 P3, with the only reall difference being the colour of the heatsink. But now I can find no trace of any of these engines on any of their websites, almost as if they are denying they ever made it!!

I find this poor form, you expect to get some after sales support when you spend $$$'s on an engine, especially when the bearings start to leak oil all over the place and the engine redlines with the carb set at idle.

I have sent Ofna an email through teir site, we'll see what happens with that.

If it's only the bearing you're looking to replace then instead of buying an identical replacement part from Picco, just pop the original out of the block and measure it up. Once you've got the dimensions it shouldn't be at all difficult to source a replacement from somewhere.

Might have too, the battery is dead in my caliper, thats the only problem!

I'm getting nowher fast with this, I have tried contacting Ofna directly to ask for help and got this as a reply:

I have tried calling the number on the teampicco.com website, but it just rings out, and there is no technical support info ion their site. No email address either, in this day and age who doesn't have an email address?

Can anyone point me towards someone who can help?

I have to say OFNA Customer service really isn't great.

This chap seems to think that only people in the US can order things from a US website!

I'm just composing a stinking reply now. I'm really not going to reccomend OFNA/Picco to anyone anymore, not when their aftersales support is so bad.

Get that battery replaced in your calipers and measure up the originals to be sure [;)]

No use in risking it if you're not 100% sure.

Yeh, that bearing will work. I was informed that the crank bearings in .21-.28 Piccos are the same, this is true for most manufacturers. Don't give up on Picco, they still make awesome engines, despite the POS leaky bearings. You will not be disappointed with Boca products.
