polaris472 -> Help with Aftershock? (5/13/2008 3:22:44 PM)

Here is the problem that happened last night when I was running my Aftershock.
I was running it and happened to drive back to where I was and noticed I only have front wheel drive now.
I can spin the rear wheels and it will spin the drive shaft, but no power from the transmission ( I don't think).
Any idea on what could be the problem, it ran fine for 30 minutes before this happened.

Most likely the set screw on the outdrive from the tranny to the driveshaft has come loose. Make sure it is on the flat spot when you tighten it, and blue loctite there will help keep it in place.

I did look at that and it is still tight. I will look at it again and make sure it is on the flat
spot.

It could also be the set screw on the outdrive of the diff.

I will look at that as well this evening and hopefully that will fix it. If not I will report back.
Thanks

the grub screws on the cvds check them

The grub screws on the front and back side of the tranny should line up with each other, one way to tell if one of the screws loosened and let the cup spin.

Check the wheel nuts and the inside of the rim to make sure the hexes aren't rounded off
