What is a better radio to run 27MHz or 75MHz?

Good question....back in the days when CB interference was high, going to 75MHz was a great idea. These days I'm not so sure. I was getting some major interference from some VHF radios one day, ...I was on 75 , but my son ran his car no problem at 27 MHz.

Regardless of frequency, FM should be better than AM

And the 2.4GHz stuff is supposedly the very best you can get.

One disadvantage 27mhz will have is that its more prone to interference from a nitro RC itself. Our engines rpm's get within that range and can cause a vibration along the same lines which actually produce a radio frequency. e.g. an engine running around 27K rpm can cause something to vibrate around the same rate which can produce a frequency of the same range.

With DSM nearly taking over in our area, you see fewer and fewer people running on 75 mhz. Making it a good choice, if you are limited to FM for whatever reason.

on 27Mhz you have a way better chance that someone you race with will be on your channel, since there are only 6 channels... 75Mhz has 30 channels, so less chance that someone will have yours, and if they do you have more choices to pick another....

That said, if you are getting a new radio, go for 2.4Ghz..... Even if you just get one of the losi RTR 2.4 Tx's from an LST2 or mini monster baja you will be better off than with 27 OR 75Mhz....
