ive finally picked my brain to death and have decided to treat myself to a new e-maxx..im also gonna get the kershaw motor upgrades,i figure they might make it hit 35,36 mph.what r the best 7 cell batterys for the truck with the other motors?i figure the drivetrain will hold to the motors for awhile, since the truck is brushless ready.i might convert to brushless, dunno tho kinda xpensive.thanx for all the help!

Yeah the motors won't last very long if your planning to hit 7cells with just plain old stock motors, So if you want to hit 35-40 the kershaws will give you around 35 mph but the new MMM is the real deal if you got the money that is. Your best bet is to get Lipos if you have the money and get a Novak 4.5 set up. Most don't recommend this but its also a good idea to metalize all your gears in the transmission to sure be safe from stripping gears. Also how much are you planning to spend that gives a good idea what your options are.

The new maxx doesnt need metal gear upgrade. The stock tranny holds up fine to brushless. Its been holding up well with my feigao xl. I would also suggest getting lipos[they can be had for the same $ as a good 7 cell] Only thing differents is l wouldnt recommend the 380 sized novak 4.5 unless you plan on just racing. They get to hot bashing and spin magnets[I have had 3 do it to me] and unless you get the new novak with the 5mm shaft it will break b/c it doesnt really fit the new emaxx very well[there is much better for the money!].

I have had no problums with my novak 6.5 motor. I have had it for 9 months. The novak hv maxx motors are 550 size motors. Not 380. (I dont race).

No they are 380s in a 550 can! Thats a fact[open it up and you will see a 380 size magnet and thats why they dont have the torque of the other 550s and why they have to be geared sooooo high[and with that many rpms{70,000+ with the 4.5} it produces alot of heat]] . Also the 6.5 doesnt have as bad of heat issues as the 4.5[l have had both and prefur the 6.5] But in the new emaxx the pinion must hang off the end of the shaft to meet the spur and thats alot of load to put on the end of a 1/8in shaft[many people here have had them snap b/c of this]. They are not bad systems but there is much better out for your money.

No dont want to do that.
If the novak system is going to be purchased for the new emaxx please make sure its the new one with the 5mm shaft[hate to see someone buy a new system and have the shaft break] Thats my only advice
