hi guys,
i am searching for a touch up gun to do my paint jobs.
i decided to buy devilbiss sri or sriw.
1)sri is hvlp with 136cfm air cosuption
2)sriw is trans-teck with 100 cfm

i tryed to get some info about these guns but i am confused. i am not a pro , so please help.
i want to shot primers, 2k paints , latex paints and clearcoats. witch gun i must use?
i use it for model airplane painting, primering, clearcoating and the size of these guns are suitable. also i am thinking of 1mm tip.
equipment i have : 25lt air tank.
also for i want to be able shoot in the future finer jobs if it needs.
what do you suggest?
anyone have experience with that equipment?

i know that paint guns is not an rcuniverses forums subject but i dont have anyone else to ask for help.

If you can order from Tower Hobbies, here's one for most camouflage and markings application needs:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHEY0&P=SM

Also, here's one for small markings and detailing needs:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHEX7&P=SM

For applying primers and larger base coats:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX8175&P=SM

These three should handle just about any type of spraying situation when it comes to modeling needs and repair parts are readily available.

Good luck.

hi John,
thanks for the reply. i am not familiar with that kind of equipment but why not to do the job with only one gun? the guns for laquer is diferent for guns for other kind of paints? latex paints?
also it is imposible to shoot primer from 1mm tip?
i see that mauny guns are adjustable . can i make adjustions so i can use the gun with all the type of paints , primers? or it is imposible?
thanks

I suspect either of the DeVilbiss guns you listed will work well. If you choose the HVLP gun, you will need to have a compressor that can deliver the required volume of air.

I have a Sata Minijet III which I really like. It will adjust down to a spray pattern like an airbrush but can also be used to spray automotive paints over large areas.

I also like my DeVilbiss Finishline II HVLP automotive gun. It will spray just about anything in liquid form.

Since you are in Greece, it is important to give first consideration to what guns are readily available in your area and have good parts support.
