I've got the Saito Ti-200 twin and I'm having problems getting the fuel flow to be correct for setting the mixtures and such. I've run it a few times and when it is running good, it is unbelievable. At first I had a Perry check vavle installed just off of the custom Keleo muffler. The muffler has the two exhausts go into a collector and then 2 pitts type exits. There are two pressure taps, one for smoke and one for fuel. I am using a remote filler valve (Dubro), so the lines are little long. The tank level is at the right height. It's in a Dynaflite Decathlon. The tank is a two line, one for vent and pickup. Of course the first time I ran it with the check valve, it ran great, but the valve worked so good that it overflowed fuel out of the carb when it died. Well I immediately realized it was foolish to have no pressure regulation or release when it died. So I removed the valve and ran the vent line straight to the muffler. Again it ran ok, but would stall out and restarts were difficult. I would watch the fuel siphon back to the tank. This will be an enclosed cowl and I won't be able to put my finger over the carb to get fuel back to it. I pruchased the perry vp-30 regualting pump and as I said, I already have the check valve. What would the best setup be to get reliable fuel to this engine. I was thinkng the pressure tap could be used to drive the pump and use the check valvle as an anti-siphon valve to keep the small amout of fuel close to the carb, then vent the vent line out of the plane. I've just got so many options and questions and not enough experience to sort it out. I am using an Expert twin glow driver. Any help? Any suggestions for other hardware that might help.

I'm not sure about your Saito, but my O.S. 300 twin does'nt require muffler pressure, runs just fine without it. I have the Keleo exhaust with the pressure tap plugged.

Just try running the vent line out the bottom of the cowl.

My suggestion is ditch the dubro filler valve. Them things are awfull They allow air in and out of the system. So I can't help on the engine problem, been many year sence I used glow. If it's not leaking now , it will!

BTW is this a single carb or duel carbed engine. On my Saito 182 I had problems with it not getting enough fuel. I ran two lines out of one tank to each carb. then it ran great.

Single Carb engine. Actually came with medium-small fuel line from remote needle to carb. Could be the dubro. They seem covenient, but I guess if the thing doesn't rebound after you remove the probe to fill it, it could cause problems with running one minute and not the next. I was thinking of placing the one way check valve about 1 inch from the needle valve so there would be little fuel in the line to make restarts easier, so the engine doesn't have to draw from such a distance.
