Status: offline 		I am putting together a Hog Bipe and plan on using Koveral and Dope. I will be using the Brodak brand paint. Has anyone use this paint on the plastic head rest and wheel pants before? Will it hurt the plastic? Should the plastic pieces be primed with some thing other than the dope primer?

Status: offline 		I used the Randolph brand on mine and it did not soften the plastic at all.
I sanded it so the surface would not be slick. I did not use primer.

Status: offline 		My experience with dope and plastic is that it does not like to stick well. I use a non-sandable spray can automotive primer first. That sticks well enough so that you can tape and paint trim; and remove the tape without taking the dope with it.
