OMG!! This is still going on. IMO ALIGN IS CRAP... So's the CP...oh wait..never flown either... This thread reminds me of the old 'who's on first' skit. Cant we just all go out and fly. This is supposed to be a happy/helpful place.

GO RED WINGS!!!

And it still is. Depending on your perspective.
If you were a noob and thinking about a Belt-Cp
Would you waste your money on one after reading this thread?
Even after nut and his pals get bored and go away I'll come back every day and bump it to the top.

I was a noob (technically still am), bought an hbk2 on ebay because of the price. Found this forum, read the tuner shop from page one. Realized that you get what you pay for. So I started my quest for the better mod. With about $300 into the Heli, it runs like a champ when im not turning it into a post hole digger. Granted you did get the shaft on yours...but that is one of of a however many. Chit happens right? There are alot of people that fly their CP everyday without the same problem that you had on one ESC. If you bought a rolex and it died 2 days in, Would you call all rolex's a POS? Prob not. (i know, I know... Belt is no rolex. bad analogy.) Get what i mean?

IMO, I would lick my wounds, move on to the next bird that you would consider better and go to that forum and enjoy what they have to say about that particular Heli. Of course I'm a passivist and would rather let other people make their own choices and offer up my opinion on what i did to make my situation better. Don't take me the wrong way, that did suck that your Heli burned up on its maiden flight and I do sympathize but taking your anger to a whole new level with 'eye poking' and nit picking just seems like wasted energy. Although the ranting is entertaining.

Get outside and enjoy your new bird!! You did get one right? What did you end up getting?

WHERES THE FRIGGIN POASTMAN WITH MY NEW MOTOR????

I do not own a Belt CP but what exactly were you expecting the heli to do? Fly inverted hands off and land for you? If you actually did any research, Nutt and all the other BCP owners made it crystal clear what had to be done to make the bird fly without becoming a fireball. Nutt's CP actually did catch fire, yes? He laughed it off, put a $20.00 ESC on it and bloody went on with his life! I am thinking Empty Wallet is going to stew himself into a corner and never recover from this nonsense...Let it go, bro!

A CopterX Its REAL sweet.
About half way through the build. The head and frame came preassembled. I took it all apart and put lock tight on everything.
Still waiting for some of the electronics. Not sure when they will get here. Comming from overseas.

Copter X is a 450? I'm thinking of going to the EXI 450 myself. Guy at the LHS said 'why don't you just get the real thing for $200'. I said will you give me 2 for that price? I already have the electronics so for $200 I get 2 EXI airframes and drop em in...and have a spare in the dock. Since its Trex compatable, LHS will start getting more of my business.

LOL, the show can get pretty good when someone knocks a product you like....

I like all my helis or I wouldn't keep them, the cheapest was under $150 and the most expensive over $2000... I actually don't think my most expensive is any better than my cheapest, they all have their place and I fly them for different reasons.

Plus, if you don't like to tinker or are not mechanically inclined this hobby is definitely not for you (not you personally, you generally). I probably spend more time on working on my helis than I do flying them.

What did i expect it to do?

UUHHH.......
DUHHH.......
Work??????

A Bic lighter is only a buck but you expect it to work dont you?
A rubber is only 50 cents but I bet you'de be pretty pissed if it didn't work.
Maybe its cause the Esky fans are so used to getting screwed they have come to expect it.
You can hear the Esky suits laughing at them all the way from China

Back in the ring. You guys enjoy your Esky stuff, I am glad you are having a great time with it. I struggled with a Belt for 3 mos. trying to make it fly consistantlyIT WOULD NOT DO IT!!! Remember, I am flying (learing-no buddy box) a .30 Raptor several times a week at the club with no problems. I am no stranger to working on helis. I have built 3 from kits not ARFs-1 electric, 2 glow. Anyway, I am patient and persist with things to figure out what the problem is, I finally determined the radio system was the inconsistant link. I bought a DX6i to put int it. Then I reasoned, WHY BOTHER!!! I got the Rex and after probably 30+ flights havent even had so much as a rough landing. So the problem was not my flying, but ESKY!!!!!!!!!. The Happiest day of my recent life was when the Belt went for parts on ebay, and the second was when that miserable HBK2 went also. I am only trying to do you all a favor by flattening your learning curve. I dont see you guys done in the Rex forum expounding the greatness of Esky, I know why and you know why. Esky need to stick with Honeybees and coaxes they are good for that. I might even buy another Honeybee for fun, I think it is their best heli!!

oh the ESky's do fly fine, some people seem to think that the heli is the cause of all their problems Most of the time its just pilot error

i guess i`ll be first one to admit, so far all my crashes were due to my screwups, not the helis, however the burned up motors were not my screwups, oh wait maybe it was, maybe it was not such a good idea to strap vid cam to lama or hb and crash in to the wall
