Those RC sites that have been entered into the RCU profanity filters are there because have earned their way to that position. RCU has rules about using our resources for promoting other websites, but for the most part we try to get along with other websites. Any posts to other websites that provide information that helps out in a discussion is gladly allowed. But the sites that we block are there because they have for the most part waged a war against RCU. For instance, some of them will have members come on RCU and then use our PM system to try to recruit people to go to the other website. Or, they will have members set up shill accounts here on RCU to spam the threads with references to they other websites. These are just a couple of examples of what they will do, there are a lot more of them out there.

For the most part RCU tries to be very tolerant of the mention of other websites, and if you look through our pages you will find literally thousands of links to other websites. For us to add another RC website to our language filters we try to resevere that action as the "last straw" and try to find other ways to resolve the issues. So you can rest assured that that if a website is blocked by our language filters they have earned that position and have waged full scale war with RCU, and lost. I have been involved with many of the "battles" that have resulted in a website being added to our filters and I can assure that it is desevered.

Ken
