Search through the old postings on this forum. There is lots of information on where to get fuel components. One supplier is www.s-whobby.com

I don't think you will save any money over buying ready-made fuel at your LHS unless you can find a local source for methanol and nitromethane. The hazardous shipping fees will kill you.

Get your oil from Cooper Fuels. It's a superior formulation (to Klotz or Morgans). So much better in fact, that we run their Plus-C oil at 12% (by volume) around here and our engines seem to last forever.

I would thing methanol and nitro would be easy to get in Indy. Try googling VP racing, then look up the local supplier, give them a call. They have fuel and oil. You should also give Fox Manufacturing and Morgan fuels a call for oil. It won't be found on their website's.

Yeah.... I just got ahold of VP fuels... they have 50/50 Nitro methenol blend in 5 gallon containers.... Only $87.30.

Looks like I will be placing an order for here pretty soon.

Pure Nitro is impossible to get unless I order in 45gallon drums.

Well the 50/50 is good. With 20% oil that would be 40% nitro and you add some methanol for less. Thats a good price for 50/50 you will be buying 2 1/2 gallons of nitro for less than $80. The last time I bought nitro it was $50 per gallon.

Think yourself lucky on the nitro...

Here in NZ, one of the major importers of nitro is out of stock and the price is over $100 per gal when you can get it.

KCJarman, Klotz (just up the road from you in Ft Wayne), has nitro in gallons. I bought some from them at Toledo this spring for $30 a gallon but I don't know what the current price is. Their address is :

Klotzlube
7424 Freedom Way
Fort Wayne, IN 46818
