Didn't know where to ask this, so thought since its related to RC's and everything else goe's here. That this is the spot to ask?

As the title says. I'm building a track for MT's and other off road vehicles that could handle jumps and bumps and stuff. Anyways,.. I have a floor plan made out, and all of that kind of stuff. My only real issue is how wide should the lane be and how deep should i make the turns. For example if the lane is 7' wide and turns at a 90 degree angle, should the turn be 10' deep or deeper? Would the lane and the turns even though there is a 30 degree turn in a few places be sufficent for example 5 - 10 MT's running at the same time w/ the turn being 10' deep? (keep in mind I'm making this track on about a 1/2 acre of land) So hopefully its roomy enough for 5 - 10 RC'rs.

Also any ideas on other things that I could include on the track to help make it a little more funner would be greatly appreciated. I have a hand full of jumps as a idea, a few rumble bumps, sharp corners, a somewhat steep upgrade. Just normal things.. But sometimes ya have to have something a little funner then just normal. Any idea's ?

i suggest you go to your local track or look at other tracks on the net, if you see something you like maybe try and add it into your track,

my personal opinion would be to have a straight line with the start/finish line on it, then maybe an adverse camber curve, some jumps, a couple of slaloms, some more jumpa and curves, you get the idea

oh btw, check that your not too near anbody elses house as screaming nitros will probably annoy your neighbours

i made my track lanes 15 feet to 20 feet wide. Started out as a MT track, but now I get more Buggies and Truggies than MT's. They are just better for racing. Faster is funner. I used garden hose at first for my lane barriers, then upgraded to 3 inch pvc pipe after some resourcing. My track is 140'x120' about 800 ft of track at center line. So 1/2 acre is plenty. But you gotta think about parking and pit area too.
