Made my maidan today with the Lanier Yak 54 ( 94" ) and the DL-100.
The motor ran perfect and it actually rips the prop ( JFX 27 X 10 ) constintly when wide open in level flight.
Here is the video of my madian and you can hear, whenever I am wide open the prop rips.

Temp: 85 degress
Humidity: 58%
Pressure: 29.83
100 feet about sea level.

Video one is a run up.

Video two is my maiden flight.

My engine came with the DL50 instructions.
Probably there will be some documentation made available, but I don't think there is anything out there yet.

Anything I can help with?

i freaking love this engine. i just started it yesterday. what a difference to start compared to my zdz. bran new out the box 4 flips choked to get fuel in the carb. 1 flip with ignition on and choked and it popped. 2 flips and it was running . i dont have to wear out my arm like my zdz .

hey bob. i had a 7.2 volt battery with my zdz ignition. zdz will take up to 9 volts. the dl likes the 5 volts. how many miliwatts does the ignition pull. i have a 3 amp UBEC from hobbycity and i want to know if i can safely use it. i used it to start my engine for the first time and for 3 more break in runs after it using a 11.1 lipo brought down to 5 volt with the UBEC. i dont wanna have to get a 3o dollar voltage regulator if i dont have to.

If it worked on your break in start ups, it will continue working. Draws the same mah whether on the ground or in the air.
I'd try it, if it's all I had, and it already worked.
As long as the ignition is getting 6 v or less, you're good. 3A is more than enough.

Thanks Bob, good information.
Not sure what it is going to be but the factory said the next release of engines will have an upgrade? I am not sure what they feel they need to change but we will see.

Thanks

hey denny i have a question. when i first started my engine i noticed black coming out of one of the spark plugs. i checked it and it was loose so i retightened it with pliers as much as i could because i dont have the tool for the spark plug. today i started it again and it did the same thing just only very little. is it still loose ? i just need to tighten it some more. and if there is an upgrade, will the current owners be avaible to upgrade whatever piece they upgraded? keep us posted
