I'm thinking about getting the T-Rex 600, but first want to make sure that my 5S Li-Po will fit. Since I'm a beginner, I'm planning to start with this battery. It measures 6.8" Long x 2.7" Wide x 1" Thick and weighs 20.0 oz. Many thanks.

I can't think of anyone personally that flys them on 5s, I dont imagine it would be enough battery for it. Most guys are flying 500s on 5 and 6s

The Rex 600 needs a minimum of 5000MAH 6s for any good flight time.

Some guys run up to 10 - 12s on them for extreme 3D.

Take a look at HobbyCity, they have a decent 6S for ~ $130. Good enough to learn on, but when you go to 3D you are gonna want to upgrade to TP or KongPower

Hi,

I've been flying my T600E on 5S 5000 mAh lipo packs for quite some time now without any problem, I even loaded the heli with a 2 pound camcorder and went up to 100 meters to take aerial videos and can stay 6 minutes in the air.
Apart from sport flying and AP I don't do any aerobatics net alone 3Ds, I think if you just fly sport there's no issue with the 5S packs.
