Although I can see the real skill in the 'tail in the water' IMO I would say this is not waterplane flying . . . we have a guy that flys @ our water plane events and although is an excellent pilot insists on prophanging large 3D models and messing about in a really smalll space just in front of the flight line, not only is it off putting but if you have 6 other pilots doing circuits and flying in a realativley scale manneri t's and accident waiting to happen . . .

Anyway a couple of months ago a good friend of mine flew his Schnieder straight through one of the large 3D models! I know I shouldnt of sniggered but I coulndt help it . . . IMO there is a time and place for that type of flying, just not above water . . .

At our club we have a rule that prohibits hovering in the flight pattern if anyone else is flying. Midairs are nobody's fault, unless one of the pilots was breaking a rule. If that crash had happened here, the 3D pilot would have to buy your friend a new Schneider.
