These are awesome planes! I flew mine for the first time this year today. The ice just went out on the lake yesterday, I had to wait until the afternoon breeze blew the ice chunks out of my way! Mine has an OS70 Surpass II with an APC 13x6 prop. It flies around at 1/4 throttle and lands at two clicks above idle. It does not like full throttle, but jumps off the water at 1/2 throttle. It is very quiet and doesn't annoy the neighbors. Compared to my 30% 3D planes, it is nice and relaxing to practice touch and goes and just fly circles and figure 8's.

I am looking forward to flying my H9 J-3 Cub on the floats this year. the ice just left the lake today, but I want to wait until I have a boat standing by before tempting fate.

I have a Saito FS72 in mine and it too flies 1/4 throttle and takes off at 1/2. Sort of tough to land though... Hard to slow down.

Cheerz!

Thanks Falcon...
Yes, it is a 40 size Hangar 9 product.
I have since added some detail to the floats, like Prop warning decals on red stripes and anti skid tape. I also used some 1" wide aluminum tape to protect the bottom of the floats and a coat of Spar varnish to seal everything...
