Does anyone have a good way to get off burnt on fuel/oil off of your exahust pipe? I think I have read somwhere before about using oven cleaner. Does anyone have more info on that? Thanks.

It the exhaust pipe is on a 4 stroke, you probably ought to learn to live with it.

But there is one cleaner that should work if you do it after every session. DAWN Power Dissolver. I use it about once a year on my 2 strokes. That's all they need.

BTW, oven cleaner is caustic. It will etch the surface of all the aluminum it touches. It'll royally screw up the carb too. And if you get some in the front bearing....... Don't use oven cleaner.

I thought I had heard about using a warm antifreeze solution. Be careful what you put it in since it poisonous.

I used Dawn Power Dissolver and documented it here: Removing Glow Fuel Residue

It took a whole 10 minutes and that included taking the pictures and typing the post.
