I have a common sence 1500mah 3s pack that I bought about 4 weeks ago and it has super short flight time. I put it in my HoneyBeeKing V2 and only got 1.5 miutes of flight and a 1250 common sence pack gives me like 8 minutes. I put it on my Kong Power charger and it still had 11.68v and only took 200mah to charge it back up. I don't know what to do. Should I go to the LHS that I got it from or what? I have tried to balance it and it takes along time to balance even when the cells are only off by .2 v. Any Ideas??? The battery maybe has 15 charges on it.

Do you have the ability to check the voltage of the pack fully charged?

It may just be a dying/dead pack..

You can try to take it back to your LHS.. If they will not swap it out, please feel free to give us a call at 866-405-8811 and we will get you sorted out..

Well I took the 1500 battrery back to the LHS and they exchanged it, then I had a 1250 mah 10c have a cell go bad to. So I took it in today and the owner said his sales rep. won't take it back and he will have to eat the cost. He then took the 1250 battery in the back room and did some testing(I guess) and then came out and told me that I damaged it and it ad a puffed cell. He handed me the battery and it was warm like he had discharged it and it was barley puffed on one cell. He told me to take up the issue with you guys. I ran the 1250 on a slo stick with a common sence 20amp esc and a e-flite 370 out runner and he said that was to much for the battery. I only run it at half throttle most the time and only full throttle it on the top of loops for a second or two. That battery should be fine. He then gave me back the 1500mah and told me to get it taken care of and if I get it replaced to give it to him.I am using a new Kong Power balance charger I just purchased from ReadyHeli. So what should I do???? All my other batteries are charging fine with no issues. I think I may never buy anything from RCHobbies again. The 1250 battery was only 2 weeks old and with maybe 3 flights and charges on it(due to bad weather). I am down on batteries and need to replace these, I'm soooo mad at this guy. So should I call you or what should I do???? Thanks for the help....Blk822

Mon-Fri between 9am and 4pm.. Tell whoever you speak to, that I sent ya..

As far as the motor pulling amps, there are many more variables other than what "the paper work says.."

I'm not sure how far into the hobby you are, but you need to pick up a Wattmeter of some sort.. You can change the actual amp draw of the motor based on the prop you are spinner..

Do you know what C rating 1250 you have?

Our 10C is good to 12amps constant and 18amps bursts..
Our 8C is only good to 10amps constant with 15 amp bursts..

I spoke with the LHS owner. I explained that we warranty our product, and he would need to refer you to us. He said that he has already replaced one of your packs.

We handle warranty issues on our product, so please give us a call at your earliest convenience; we can better address warranty issues on the phone. Our toll free number is 866-405-8811.

To whom it may concern at Commonsence rc. I have been looking for some help with this battery problem I have. It came down to a E mail from Bruce Sund giving me a RMA # to return the batteries for repair or replacment. I spent my money to send them in and after I sent them last friday I got a call today (wednesday) from Jordan about the batteries. He said the 1500mah battery had a gash in a cell, well I never saw a GASH, and he offered me a 25% discount on a new one and the asked questions about my usage and charging of the 1250 mah battery I had for two weeks and answered him as well as I can remember(its been awhile now). He said the two good cells left in the battery are charged to 4.32 volts and my charger (a new Kong Power KP-100W6 from Ready heli) may be over charging. And they would get back to me in a day or so with a decision about that battery. I have several batteries , 6 x Kong Power 3S 2200mah 25C , 2x Common Sence 3S 1250mah 10C, 1x Esky 3S 1000mah 10C, 1x 3e Model 3S 1200mah 10C, 1x common sence 3S 1500mah 15C, and a Dualsky Xpower 3S 1300mah 25C, all which are charged on the same charger with no problems.I also have 2x common sence 20A esc's that are great . I'm kind upset after thinkig about this situation, I buy your products thinking I'm getting a quality product and quality support. Then I just get ran around from this forum to my LHS then to call in, then an E mail from a rep. ,then send the stuff in, then another phone call questioning me and my charger and a GASH that I wasn't aware of. I though when you gash a cell or cut into it there would be more than just a dead cell, but leakage of fumes or even a battery fire. I think I just want my bad batteries back and I will just start buying all my batteries from a different manufacter. I didn't think 2 bad batteries was such a big deal to get taken care of. Please just send me back my 2 bad batteries and I will cut my losses and buy different brands.

Hi Bill,

We do strive to provide the best in service, but we aren't able to offer free replacement batteries when they've been physically damaged during use. If we simply gave away a free battery for every one that damaged, we wouldn't be able to stay in business.
The pack you returned to us does have a large hole in the covering of one cell. I've attached a pair of pictures to show what I mean. Regardless of the damage, we offered a courtesy discount for you to help ease the pain of losing your old pack.
The other pack we received had cell voltages of 4.34, 4.34 and 0.01. We asked questions about your charger so we could figure out how the cells got to this point. We can only work with the available evidence, and we want to make sure we reach a fair conclusion.
We do stand behind our products' performance, but we can't be responsible if they're damaged during use. This is expressed in our warranty -

That hole wasn't there when I sent it. It looks like someone dug at it. I never would have sent in a battery with damage like that excpecting a replacement..There is no way I would not have seen that or the LHS that had it not seen that and showed me.He had that battery for two days and gave it back to me to see if you guys would replace it. He would have showed it to me and said it was damaged.
