Hey guys,
I took advantage of spektrums giveaway program and converted all my planes to 2.4. and sold my old radios with their chargers. So here's the problem now. I used to charge the rx battery and the tx battery at the same time on each plane. Now I only have one of these double lead chagers still around and the spektrum charger only charges the tx battery. I need a way to charge 4-5 rx batteries over night before i go fly. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

what kind of batteries are they? you can get a quick charger for nicad nimh lipo li-ion and lead acid batteries. I have a triton charger it does all of those. could also go to a swap meet and get about 4 to 5 wall chargers and charge them all before you go flying. they are cheap at swap meets. also horizon sells the wall chargers on their site.

They are all just regular nicad 4 cell packs ranging from 400mah to 1100mah. Buying cheap wall chagers is a good idea. I just wondered if anyone made a chager that had like 5 leads on it for trickle charging rx packs over night at about 50mah rate.

Matt

For years i have used a multi charger by hobico. I like it as it has multiple rates to choose from and i can do up to 4 planes at a time. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXL331&P=SM

I'm having the exact same problem trying to charge all my planes. And I've been wanting to get that Hobbico Multi Charger for awhile now. Its about the only thing I've seen that can charge more than 2 batteries at once. And I also like to charge mine overnight.

I took a look at that charger. I see that the 4th port's lowest rate is 100mah. Is that too high for 1100mah pack over night? I know very little about charging and electronics.

ACE DIGIPULSE!! I have one and it is the best charger I have ever seen or used. Has six individual charge stations which will charge any six batterys indepently and seperatly at theb same time. Each battery is programed for a slow 16 hr charge and then goes into a trickle charge. Will not cycle or fast charge but I have a separate fast charger for field use anyway.

I forgot to mention the digipulse is a little pricey at around a 100 bucks give or take a little but I consider it well worth the price over the long haul.

I think the hobico charger will work for my needs. i just need to know it the charge rate on that 4th port is ok. Can i charge a 1100mah nicad rx pack overnight at 100mah rate? All of the other ports will charge at 50mah which is the same as my standard wall charger that came with my radio

100 ma charger will charge a 1100 ma pack in 11 hours. 12- 15 hours is still on the safe side.

I think i just had a "duh!" moment.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Maybe I ought to be leaving batteries on my 50mah charger a little longer too.
