Status: offline 		About 3 minutes into my second battery with about 10-15 MPH winds (who knows how much more 30 feet up)on the ground. I was about 25-30 feet up doing some wide banks and BAM!! wind tipped me upside down with out idle up. If I had only had another 10 feet I could have pulled out... chalk one up for mother nature. Destroyed my skids, battery hanger, Knighthead Set, Main gear, Twisted my pinion which i found strange. Broke the tabs that for the battery hanger which I may just try and fix since thats the only thing that happened to the frame. Oddly enough , blades are good and have not pulled out the feathering shaft which I'd assume is toast nor have I checked out the main shaft. Surprisingly non of the head was damaged though. Ah the spare parts bin is starting to get bare. Going to have to setup another order. Hope my heli cam was running, could be entertaining. Have to check that.

Probably my most expensive crash to date. and I'll bet it wont cost me but about $20-$25. I love inexpensive toys.

Its kind of a crappy camera and does way low resolution but it was the smallest thing I could find for the HBK2 without adding to much AUW.

I think I paid 125 for it.

Status: offline 		Was back up and running sweet the next day. Gotta love it when you have everything that breaks. Had t o go back to the stock skids though. And I thought I destroyed my motor when I was pulling off the pinion. Since it was twisted. I took a nail and a dead blow hammer and tapped it out after freazing the motor and heating the pinion. Tapped it out, pinion came off, picked up the motor and noticed that the entire top (other side from the pinion had come apart. Learned alot about how the outrunner motors work. Luckily I tapped it back in and it still is working good.

Status: offline 		So looks like I damaged my 3800 in my last crash... Lost alot of power on it. Got a little low to the ground tried to pull out with very little wind and down for the count. Back to the bench for a full rebuild. Prob have to get a new motor.

Status: offline 		I'll prob get another 3800 and thinking about one of those XTreme 4000kv for my 2nd HBK2 ( if I'm gonna be crashin', I wanna have another to at least finish out my battery lol)
Anyone tried one of these yet? Not sure what ESC I wanna get. Probably gonna go with a seperate BEC as well for both. Have to tally up the damage from today and see what the damage is.

Status: offline 		Well, I was taking off my pinion ( chewed and bent in crash) and knocked the whole top of the motor off. Didnt have a puller so i froze it and heated the pinion then tapped it out with a small screw driver and didnt notice the back came off til pinion was out. I did get it back together and it seems to work fine but will have to see what a different ESC will do. Thats what makes me think its the motor.
