carpez -> Need digital servos and RX help (5/17/2008 7:02:28 AM)

I fly a HBK2 and I have just purchased a Spektrum DX7. I am using a ALIGN RCE 500x GYro. Will I need to buy another Gyro? and what digital servos and RX should I purchase to work with the HBK2 and DX7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PEZ

That is a rebadged telebee gyro and its not digtal (it cant talk to a digital servo) so its a total waste to put a digital servo (50$- 100$ servos) on it, which is good unless your into heavy 3d flying which your probably not. Its a good gyro for the price and works well with a futaba 3114 analog servo for the tail (3114 is very strong and fairly fast for the 15$ price).
I run one on my King and have no issues or problems with it

Hi Funflyer welome from down under . The problem is I own a DX7 and fly a Hurricane 550. What I would like to do is fly the Honey Bee King 2 with the DX7 also. Now to do so what gear would I have to buy. 1 What model and make [8|]of digital servo
2 What model and make of Gyro
3 What make of servos to suit the Honey Bee king and the DX7
Mate if you could give me some ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

carpez, you realize that you don't need to change anything beyond the receiver? I'd suggest the 6200 for the receiver as it's cheaper than the ar7000.

I would put in e AR6100e rx as its smaller then the stock or the 6200 works with the dx7, is in one piece, best of all it's low cost [:D] (US$50) check out ebay for world wide and you have several people in your area selling them. While your at it put on a Telebee HH gyro ($US40) and a Futaba S3114 tail servo ($US15) Its a strong fast servo and is analog, replace the servo arm with a Hitec HS55 one (thicker and wider) and your all set. Oh and upgrade the motor and ESC before they fail or burn.
