Very nice.....I've done two so far and neither is as good as yours (not even close).

As I once said at work "They won't let me paint....I always put my brush to the bottom of the can, even when it's full".

yea this is my third, what did it for me was on the painting, i did it properly, first coat very thin, blow dry, waited 15 minutes, then thicker coats every 15 minutes with blow drying. when i cut it i bought 2 lexan siccors, straight edge and curved edge. and the decals could have been better if i used something to measure with. still need some work on placing window decals better and correct measuring of decal placement. havent cut body holes yet but hopefully i dont screw that up.

I found cutting the holes and trimming the body easy enough, but am no good at painting.

Thanks for the tips.

By the way, a Dremel and sanding drum are indispensible when trimming bodies. So is an x-acto knife to get rid of flash, etc. Reamers are OK. Sharp sissors are a must, but I usually only rough cut to size with the scissors, then use the Dremel.

I'd like to try that stuff where you glue a pic inside the body, the paint. Should be a nicer effect than decals. But for now.....I decal up....covers my paint mistakes too!!!

I'm sorry, this might be a bit of a newbie question
but the paint goes on underneath the shell and decals go on top right?
I'm just making sure

Looks very nice eckosof. Do you use window cleaner or soapy water to help in the application of the larger stickers? From your results, I would guess you do! I can't tell from the pics if you've cut the center clear areas out of the windsheild etc, leaving only the mouldings. That makes a big difference in a clean appearence(again I would guess you did).
The thing I want to try someday is lexan window tint. Picture your Skyline with "smoked" glass...SWEET !

Oh man, you gotta try the window cleaner trick next time. It allows you to slide the sticker around till you get it perfect, then you just squeadgy it out with a credit card or something. Works great! You dun' real good freehanding it! I'm too shaky!

aww its not easy at all to do it freehand, if you look at bottom left of m5 pic of windshield i had to cut and overlay to look better.
