Because proof is the burden of the claimant.

I don't really want to spend $100 on a radar gun, so why doesn't someone build the same truck I have and prove that it can't top 60mph?!

You don't have top buy one bud, you can talk to the local police station, amny times they will help you because they think these RC's are cool.

You can also get a GPS from a friend and strap that on if it records speed, many do.

If you were smart enough you could set up a simple speed trap too. Set up 2 lines 100 feet apart. Drive at top speed so you hit line 1 then have a buddy trip a stop watch, then as you cross the second line. This time will be 100 feet / XX seconds. Then "simple math conversions can get you to miles per hour. Pretty simple math actually since 1mph = 5280 feet / 3600 seconds. Though you need to do this often and somehow prove the times you are getting.

Again you CLAIMED a high number and have no supporting factors. Friction alone could easily lose you over 10mph no problem, or gear mesh and bearing tolerances. Even a 100% full complicated physics analysis of this would still have a margin of error.

Ah .. come on BT. He could throw the GPS on the dash of his daily and run it up to 60 mph. We need CBS news coverage of the run .. lol .. Make that "LIVE" on the scene coverage

I agree at this point we need proof in a video of the GPS run then him removing it to show the numbers.

Same for the Time Trap, we would somehow need a ruler to verify the 100 feet as well as the stop watch.

Just go to the police and have them help on video...police video even

I have way more than that in my Revo and it doesnt come close to 60mph. Maybe 45-48 mph. Yours is still fast, but 60, lets be serious.

Theres more in speed calculation than rpm versus gearing, the drivetrain drag, the wind will try to stop your truck.

Ive done 57mph on radar with my revo on 19T 36T and a modified Picco .28 (it was a bit short of a gearing) and it was with tmaxx(emaxx3905 style) tires.
With phaltline and 20T /34T it would have been up to 65 for sure. But that engine have over 2hp where the .26max have 1.3-1.5hp depending the pipe.

Even at 57, the rear end of the truck was shaking left and right very fast.

Id say 55 is possible with the .26max, only way to prove its speed is by gps or radar. otherwise i would not claim my speeds.

But from your first vid where you take more speed it look in the low 50. Wich is good.
