The covering on the elevators of my H9 PnP Cub loosened up in the sun. When I try to tighten the covering it ballons up since the bays are sealed. What's the best way to vent them? Should I punture the covering on the bottom, or should I push a pin through the trailing edge? Is there another option of which I have not thought?

TIA!

push through the TE on an angle into the bay, bottom side. It's worked for me. I just used a T-Pin.

Great suggestion! The deals with any weakness a longer hole through the trailing edge might add, and prevents an unsupported hole in the covering. I like it!
