the vid will take some time. Rest assured I will post it. I may post the superstar maiden first however, nancys Hobbes has a saito 150 so I dont have to order I can pick it up tommorrow after work. Speed up the process a bit. I think she may be ready first.

Hope no one gets hurt

Landing warbirds are a whole new experience, compared to a cub for that matter. You mentiopned you flew the cub too slow, keep in mind warbirds need to be flown much faster. Be careful and good luck.

This is a very interesting thread with lots of heated opinions. I really don't know or really care if the corsair is right for you or not. O.K. a little bit of me wants to see it crash and burn but that is not personal, I just like to see the mayhem.

I have no experience with the 60 size Kyosho corsair but I would still probably put it in more of the sport plane catagory than the warbird. It likely has light wing loading for a warbird and will probably be pretty easy to fly all in all.

I had the chance to fly the Hanger 9 big P-47 last week and I have to say that was one of the easiest planes that I have ever flown. The owner put a new four blade prop on it right before I took it up which was not a good idea. The take off was hairy and climb performance and top speed was horrible. I almost lost it on take off due to too much up trim and not enough airspeed. I had to pushing forward on the stick at take off to get the nose down while it was near stalling and rolling to the right. Once in the air it went fine and the landing was a piece of cake. It was rock steady and practically landed itself. It should be no problem for an RC prodigy.

Anyway, I like everyone else am eager to see the flight of the Corsair. If you are as gifted as you say or even half as gifted then either the Corsair or the P-47 should be no problem. Good Luck.

What about the seagull superstar? Ive heard it is also a tricky plane to fly. Definitely not a beginner plane, right? If it's ready by sunday I can take a vid of that. Reason I say is because I may not have the corsair ready this weekend, But ill try like hell. Promise.

Don't really know. My buddy said it's RTF but needs a little TLC, He said put a couple hours into it, He was going to get into it more with me when I pick it up at the field this weekend but like I said the superstar is just about ready. Just came back from my LHS with the saito 150, Was gonna get the 180 but want to save some fuel. So I figure Ill break it in tommorrow and she'll be in the air on sat or sun. Ill definitely take a video.

Over six pages of posts over a week and still no video. Well Mr. Fancypants are you getting worried that your cub video may not live up to all the hipe? I'll be waiting to watch this. And when you get the Corsair, make sure you film that too. I love watching "not arrogant, but superior" newbies smoke an airplane into the ground. Make sure to add the sad music from Top Gun when Goose dies to get the ultimate effect.

Well, this has been an entertaining thread to say the least. Can't wait to see the video of the maiden of the Superstar. Do we get to see a one or three roll rolling circle, or a 5-roll vertical 8 on the maiden?

I really do think that Pete737 is taking the mickey out of everyone. Over here we refer to people like him as 'Gunna'. I'm 'Gunna' do this, I'm 'Gunna' do that.

I think when his parents realize he has been accessing their internet at home he will have to go to bed by 8pm.

Maybe...but I do know we'll see that awesome cartwheel that Quique has been attempting to perfect for years! It'll probably be followed by the rare, Tx-toss. Then some four-letter words and the all-important long-walk-with-a-plastic-bag that is oh, so difficult to perform in front of spectators....but let's not expect much from him, or we'll scare off the video.

Up until 3 days ago, when I finished work, I would drive home, kiss the wife and kids, watch some TV, have a meal and then think of getting on the internet to look at this web site. Since this web string has grown I now find that the moment I walk through the door at home I've got to log on and check to see the next instalment of the saga. It’s almost like a drug. I am going to get so high when the video is posted.

By the way, once this string has died a death, who is going to step forward and take the reins for the next one? Guys this has to happen, cold turkey is not an option, I need my fix!!!!

I will be flying the plane.

If it goes in you will have your much anticipated crash video.

..... But I wouldnt count on it.

BTW the consensus seems to indicate that the super star is more tricky than the p-47 maybe equal to the corsair. Would it be cheating to maiden her first, provided she's ready first? I will give you an authentic video. Promise.

That second video shows that a Corsair is NOT supposed to be a 3D aircraft!! On the third the cowl was off and almost assuredly it was tail heavy. Too bad, looked like a nice Top Flite model. At least they all look fixable.

I think like Vasek's video is about what it'll look like, but I doubt it'll be as easy to repair.
