I do not think this could be structurally possible. Either you would have to use a very small motor or chop the entire nose off and move the electronics farther back. I would say you keep it a glider because it performs well as such. Why spoil the lines with a motor? Keep it a sloper and enjoy it. Plus there is no space for the battery and esc.

because the talon needs speed to stay aloft ,there are a few considerations and unfortunately you are only able to do them BEFORE you build the fuselage.

There is a former just aft of the nose block, that needs to be enlarged to accommodate a radial mounting plate and allow the fuselage sheeting to contour around the motor you use. Once you put it in, you are done as there is no real way to get to it without some serious work.

Either way, I would go with one of the smaller inrunners running as small a folding prop as you can . . .probably a 6/4, contour the strips that make up the fuselage to contour around the spinner back plate and then route your esc through to allow the battery (500 to 800 mah lipo) under the wing just in front of the aileron servo.

I think this should get the speed up enough to keep you in the air but fly it respecfully.

I sold mine two years ago after 21 years of flying! A real testament to the plane considering how I fly slope! If lipos had come into mainstream before I sold it, I probably would have lobbed the nose off and tried something..

Hi Guys,
Can't argue with anything in this thread concerning the Talon. But if you are adventurous, doing an e-conversion is possible. Send me an email at KJMDES@GMAIL.COM and I'll send you a PDF for some pointers.

Cheers, Kevin
