Dear fellow RC’s

Detective question:

I’m asking because I’m getting these calls all the time and in one of the complaint boards I found a message submitted by hogflyer from Wichita, KS, I figured hey there is something in common here, other wise I wouldn’t post it here.

I’m getting fraudulent calls from David Smith 904-757-4253 regarding some line of credit which is about to expire then asking my name….
Or car warranty which is about to expire then asking what car I have…
When I tried to call back this number it says its disconnected.

googling this number led me to conclusion it must be some attempts of identity theft.

I didn’t leave my home number at RCU so they must got it from somewhere else.

Few years ago I read about credit cards fraud, all people who complained purchased pizza at one place.

Hope it doesn’t related to RC
Alex

Just before I reported it in for violation of the no-call list, I decided to mess around with them. They've called a couple of times, and I decided to tell them yeah, I think my warranty is probably up. When the guy asked for the make/model of the vehicle, I told him a 1932 Ford Victoria, and I had his number on caller ID and was going to report him for violation of the no-call list. He promptly hung up and I haven't receive another call since.

Hogflyer.
