Yes, for sure . . and Gunther Ulsmer form Germany is doing VERY well. No disrespect, but he would not be young now ? Excellent effort ! !

Does anyone know if he is still flying his Cocaine ??

Cheers, JB

Not so fast David, there are more than 10 pilots in the semis is it not? Remember Ola practices the F-schedule as well. Go Ola!
Matt is back with a vengance and so are the Gemans (Don't mention the...)
Günter Ulsamer flies an Opium which is a very large Cocaine-evolution. Should fly more calmly judging by the name. He is to my knowledge the only man with retracts in this contest.

Yes, top one third will fly in the semi finals tomorrow, 23 pilots. Ola with his 12th place finish in the preliminaries is one of them, congratulations!

Unfortunately Ola was the only pilot from the nordic countries to make it. Bernt and David came close. Our national champion Lassi Nurila made it to 33rd position, <100 points short from the semis.

Hi All, does anybody have the team results by any chance ?

I think the way the team results are calculated has been changed for this year. Previously it was just the preliminary scores of the team members added together. Now we will have to wait until the end and for the final individual placings.

From the sporting code:
The team classification is established at the end of the competition (after the finals) by adding the
numerical final placing of the three team members of each nation. Teams are ranked from the
lowest numerical scores to the highest, with complete three-competitor teams, ahead of twocompetitor
teams, which in turn are ranked ahead of one-competitor teams. In the case of a tie, the
best individual placing decides the team ranking.

Sorry, there was a misunderstanding (I was very tired...) and I thought he was talking about spark engines.
I talked to Rainer Hacker today and I asked him about Wolfgang Matt and the new outrunner motor. He answered with a grin: "Yes, there are rumours about that..." Indeed Matt is using the same good old C50. They are probably making tests with the new outrunner but I guess they still are not completely satisfied with the performances.
At the end of the semifinals Seba is first, CPLR 2nd and Beschorner 3rd.
Yes,it's true; the official site really sucks, but on the other hand the location, the organization and (fortunately) the weather are excellent and almost everybody agree about it.

I'm speechless. Ola's best championship ever. 11th is really fantastic but bittersweet, just a measley 6 points from a place in the finals. He'll have a ball flying warmup for the finalists though!

Ola's best championship ever.

Although I agree with you that it was a good performance I wish to point out that Ola Fremming has been 11th at the European Championships before (in 2002), so it is difficult to tell if it this was the best championship ever (for him).

When it comes to the actual contest I am wondering if the internet connectivity in the Brescia, Italy area is broken. I haven't seen any official results (published by the organisers on their web page) since tuesday. Or are we still living in the 20th century?
