Scale meets are a lot of fun for me, as I have as much fun taking pictures as competing. And my knees don't knock when I shoot pics.

Here are a few of the better ones. I still have more to go through, so probably more later.

Other shooters, please feel free to post yours as well. I'm especially looking forward to seeing the shots of the Dale Locander's 1/3 DVII "pruning" the tops of those big trees across the runway.

I won't have pilot's ID for some (for now). Perhaps others can help with that.

More later.

I love that funky blue airliner! What's the official designation for that?

The Stinson Trimotor is different looking. I kind of like it too.

Slow at work, so here are more.....

Greg Hahn's wonderful B-17 fights the gusty cross winds.

This was what the DVII brought back from it's tree pruning. There were leaves in the horiz stab bracing too.

Martin Justis's Buker Jungmeister. First scale competition for Martin.

M favorite! This great looking FW190-D was totally destroyed unfortunately. High speed stall was the culprit the pilot told me.

Gary Wild's Chipmunk (I think).

Greg and Cindy bring the B-17 back to the roost until the next flight.

Turbine powered F9F panther looked great. If you like jets. Heck, even if you don't it was cool.

This flier did pretty well with this little Cub in the wind.

As did this Hangar 9 Camel.

Steve Ort (Old Scale Guy) did well with his GP Pawnee ARF.

Yes, it was brutally gusty. Bob Underwood did well to fight the winds and bring his Staggerwing ARF in with only very minor damage. Note the pieces of landing gear doors. I was glad (not the right word really) to see a vertern flier like Bob as "dry mouthed" after a hairy flight as I am (after most competion flights).

Dave,
We missed you being there as well.

The only upside to that was you weren't there to publicly chastise me for not starting on the DIII yet. )

I've got another 30 or so that are probably worthy of posing here ( I shot about 300) that I'll tweak and up-load later.

For now, here's an "assembled" series that I took of Eric (Alford ?) flying that fantastic P-38 in team scale. PhotoShop is a wonderful thing.

Great shots, Mike! Thanks for posting these. That multiple shot of the P-38 is something special! BTW, it looks like the "pilot" of that DVII has passed out!
